The BHS Excellence Fund is the primary fundraising organization for Burlingame High School.   The goal is to help students reach their full potential by providing students high levels of support and opportunities in the classroom.

 

​Donation to the Excellence fund pay for programs at Burlingame High School that enrich the educational experience for all students, beyond what is possible with public funds.

  • builds BIS community

  • advocates for students

  • educates parents

  • provides classroom support

  • is parent-driven

  • district’s primary fundraiser

  • provides unrestricted grant dollars for programs, staff, and resources

  • is largely parent volunteer-run

  • develops & evaluates school improvement programs (i.e. new academic programs, staff and student development, parent outreach) 

  • maintains communication channels among the BIS community

  • is comprised of the Principal, staff, teachers and parents

BCE & PTA both fundraise, right? Please explain.

BCE is the district’s primary fundraiser and BIS PTA supplements with fundraising for site-specific programs.
